What’s Going On

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian Sunni Islamist group Hamas led surprise attacks against Israel from the Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air. The result was 1,200 Israeli deaths.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces began to strike compounds believed to house Hamas leadership in the Gaza Strip, as well as civilian areas.

Since then, over 23,000 Palestinians have been killed. More than 10,000 of these deaths were children.

These attacks have rippled out across the world, igniting activists and communities to get involved. Gaia Temple is engaging it’s community to call for Peace between all Peoples, and to raise funds for refugee support.

We find relief and healing in community, and through art. This gathering will showcase informed speakers, artists, and activists who feel passionately about the cause. This is a safe space to encourage deeper dialogue and deeper engagement.

We all share the same basic needs to be seen, heard, loved and understood. When we overcome accusations of right and wrong, there becomes peace. Peace births Equality. A sense of equality is the first step towards Equity, in which every human life is honored and cared for.
